Nobody kicks butt at marketing like Kellogg does. That’s right. Kellogg is the #1 marketing school in the world. Wharton is #1 for Finance. Harvard/Stanford are #1 overall. The little known guy called Philip Kotler, who is like a God in the marketing world, is a professor at Kellogg. They call him: Father of modern marketing. Don’t even try to google his name, you will be overwhelmed with the amount of stuff Google will throw at you.
Wharton, Harvard, Chicago Booth, Stanford are other top ranked programs. Most schools are likely to prefer you, if you are heir to the Coors fortune or the McCormick fortune, even if you don’t have stellar academics and extra-curricular. Why? Because they want billionaries on their Alumni list. It helps with the endowments. Among top schools, Stanford is the only school with a “need-blind” admission process. Your financial status does not affect the admission process. I think that is ethically awesome. If my kids have the delightful fortune of choosing between attending Harvard and Stanford, I would strongly advise them to go to Stanford.
